class-I pyridine nucleotide-disulfide oxidoreductase family. This enzyme is a homodimeric flavoprotein. Glutathione Reductase is a central enzyme of cellular antioxidant defense and reduces oxidized glutathione disulfide (GSSG) to the sulfhydryl form GSH, which is an important cellular antioxidant. Rare mutations in Glutathione Reductase result in hereditary glutathione reductase deficiency (1). Recommended Applications WB, FC Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000 FC: 1:10 - 100 Species Reactivity * Human, Mouse, Rat *Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis. Products Data Western blot analysis on (A) Jurkat, (B) HeLa, (C) A549, and (D) Caco-2 cell lysates using anti-Glutathione Reductase RabMAb (cat. #5451-1). Flow cytometric analysis of permeabilized HeLa cells using anti-Glutathione Reductase RabMAb (red) (catalog # 5451-1) or a rabbit IgG (negative) (green). Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human Glutathione Reductase was used as an immunogen. |
